When Torsion Construction appointed Ellis to furnish their landmark Burley Street development in Leeds, the brief was clear: 189 studio apartments and a tight deadline with students arriving in September 2025.
Working closely with the Torsion and Inspired Projects Developments team from concept through to installation, Ellis planned, manufactured and delivered every unit on time, fully assembled and ready from day one.
Each of the 189 studios was designed for sleeping, studying, cooking and living, all within a single well-planned space.
The bedrooms feature our Kato range in Light Grey and Natural Davos Oak, a pairing that keeps the rooms feeling fresh. The kitchens were finished in Reed Green, a contemporary choice that has quickly become one of the most sought-after finishes in student accommodation.
Below the studios, the lower-level amenity space was given the same attention as every room above it. A communal kitchen, social seating and study areas. All finished to a standard that sets the tone for the whole building, the moment residents walk in.
With students confirmed to arrive in September 2025, the programme left no margin for delay. Ellis worked closely with the Torsion and Inspired Projects Developments team throughout to fully coordinate the installation programme.
Every studio was delivered fully assembled, minimising on-site time and ensuring the building was ready when it needed to be. No bother, no drama, done right.
