The Diplomat Hotel Restaurant & Spa
We've recently been working with The Diplomat Hotel Restaurant & Spa in Llanelli, a stunning family-run hotel built back in 1810, re-furnishing a handful of their rooms with our Ocala bedroom furniture.
"It has been a pleasure to work with Ellis Furniture, their insight and knowledge have made the project much smoother to manage. It has enabled us to update our bedrooms with very little disruption."
- Paul Jenkins, Director, The Diplomat Hotel Restaurant & Spa
A Whole New Look
Of the 50 rooms in the hotel, we have furnished 10, with many more to follow.
Each room was refitted with bedroom furniture from our Ocala collection, paired with a Driftwood finish for a stylish and contemporary aesthetic.
Additionally, these rooms were fitted only two or three at a time to ensure minimal disruption to the hotel and its guests.
Challenges
Since most of the rooms featured different dimensions, we had to work closely with owners to survey and measure all of the rooms, creating design layouts for each, allowing the client to visualise what the room would look like.
The main challenge we faced was replacing the existing built-in wardrobes as these had become dated, replacing them with our standard wardrobe, fitting it into the space and providing an infill range of matched panels to create a built-in effect.
