We are currently looking for 2 Installation Managers to fill roles in Yorkshire and the North East Regions. You will join the team to ensure the timely use of all resources to deliver the onsite element of our works on projects, delivery of the onsite elements and managing installations of kitchens within the housebuilding sector of the business. 


Key Tasks:

  • To ensure high product installation quality standards are achieved through effective project management.

  • Responsibility for the delivery and management of the installation process and works throughout the project lifecycle

  • Management of site readiness checks and measurements prior to delivery and agreeing readiness requirements with site teams

  • Management of site call-offs and deliveries in line with readiness to customers and internal teams

  • Sourcing, appointment and management of site installation teams to complete the installation works

  • Management of completion and signoff of works including responsibility for the management of remedial and extra works

  • Management and responsibility for delivery of post-completion works to sites and projects

  • Responsibility for managing and recording project installation costs

  • Development and monitoring of Health and Safety documentation and requirements

  • Provide and promote effective two-way communication with all parties

  • To ensure snag-free and on-time delivery of each project

 

Key Challenges:

  • Organisational and Man Management Skills.  The candidate must be well organised in order to take timely action to deal with performance, respond quickly and follow up requests for service, prioritise, plan and allocate the workload of teams and co-ordinate delivery requirements

  • Communicating at various levels.  The candidate will need to be as comfortable and effective in communicating with senior customer contacts one minute as with on-site labourers the next.  

  • Numerical and analysis skills.  Comfortable reporting on costs/invoices and calculating margin recovery for each project, comprehending the detail on quotations, invoices and variations and understanding work programmes and implications

  • Surveying and Room Planning.  Assisting the sales team with surveying and a good understanding of kitchen planning is necessary.  Proofreading designs and plans for their installation practicality.

  • Hands-on attitude.  Although effective planning and management of fitting teams will avoid the necessity, when absolutely necessary the Installation Manager may be required to roll up their sleeves and be hands-on, so a good knowledge of fitting methods and techniques will be a bonus.

  • Experience in working with housebuilders and developers.  Experience of working in a fast-paced environment will be invaluable
